EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
THIS AGREEMENT, by and between the CITY OF CLERMONT, Lake County, Florida,
a municipal corporation, hereinafter referred to as "CITY"; and GEORGE POWELL
of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "SUPERVISOR".
The parties hereto agree as follows:
1. The CITY hereby '~ploys SUPERVISOR as an independent contractor for the
sole and exclusive purpose of providing supervisory services as provided herein.
2. For rendition of the services outlined below the CITY shall pay to SUPERVISOR
the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($250.00), per week, until the
services are completed, not to exceed a total sum of ONE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($1,000.00).
3. SUPERVISOR agrees to provide the following ~ervices on an independent
contractor basis:
a. Supervise the construction of the additions and remodeling of
the Clermont Police and Fire Department Building located at
882 Desoto Street, Clermont, Florida, in accordance with the
plans and specifications provided by the architect.
b. Assist the CITY in obtaining the necessary labor, materials
and subcontractors, all with"the approval of the CITY.
c. Cooperate with the architect to insure the construction is
completed in an efficient manner, according to the plans and
specifications.
d. It is specifically understood that SUPERVISOR shall personally
supervise the construction until completion and insure that
all materials are utilized as required by the plans and

specifications and all labor is performed in an efficient
and workmanlike manner.
4. CITY agrees to provide the following:
a. Plans and specifications prepared by the architect at CITY'S
expense.
b. CITY shall pay all labor and material costs, workmen's
compensation, and any other costs incident to the construction.
