O-329-M• • CITY OF CLERMONT MISCELLANEOUS ORDINANCE NO. 329-M AN ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A RATE SCHEDULE FOR SEWER SERVICE; ESTABLISHING A SWIMMING POOL SEWER CREDIT; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, adopted the current rate schedule for sewer service by Ordinance 310-M dated April 23, 1996. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont that the rate schedule for sewer service will be amended as follows: SECTION 1. BASE CHARGE FOR SEWER SERVICE: The monthly base charge for sin leg_ family and commercial customers shall be as follows: METER ERC MONTHLY SIZE FACTOR BASE CHARGE 5/8" x 3/4" 1 $10.90 1" 2.5 27.26 1.5" 5 54.52 2" 8 87.23 3" 16 174.47 4" 25 272.60 6" 50 545.21 8" 80 872.33 The base charge for multiple family dwellings shall be $8.73 per dwelling unit per month. Multiple family dwellings include centrally metered apartments and mobile home parks, but does not include hotels, motels or recreational vehicle parks. • • CITY OF CLERMONT MISCELLANEOUS ORDINANCE NO. 329-M Page 2 The monthly base charge for manufacturing customers shall be determined on an individual basis after an analysis by the Public Services Director regarding the flow and treatability of waste water being discharged into the City's system. The minimum base rate shall not be less than one ERC as established under this ordinance fora 5/8" x 3/4" meter. SECTION 1.1 VARIABLE RATE FOR SEWER SERVICE: In addition to the base charges listed above, a variable rate of $1.42 per 1,000 gallons of water consumed monthly shall be charged. The maximum amount of gallons subject to the variable charge per month shall be as follows: Customer Type Gallons Single-Family 16,000 gallons Multiple-Family 13,000 gallons per dwelling unit Commercial No maximum SECTION 2. SWIMMING POOL SEWER CREDIT A credit shall be applied to a customer's sewer charges in the event the customer has filled a swimming pool due to initial construction or renovation. The credit shall be equal to the actual number of water gallons used filling the pool or the maximum number of water gallons billed for sewer charges, whichever is less. Documentation from the swimming pool contractor or retailer must be provided to the City supporting the number of gallons used. SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 4. Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or affect any other provision of this ordinance, except to the extent that the entire section or part • • CITY OF CLERMONT MISCELLANEOUS ORDINANCE NO. 329-M Page 3 of the section may be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such holding shall apply. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law and take effect October 1, 1997. First Reading this 23rd day of September, 1997.
