AN ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE
CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE 258-C, AS AMENDED AND INCORPORATED IN
CHAPTER 14, SECTION 14-22, RIDING SKATEBOARDS ON
STREETS, SIDEWALKS, ETC., PROHIBITED, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABII.ITY, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, HEREBY ORDAINS THAT CIiAPTER 14, SECTION 14-22 IS
HEREBY AMENDED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or use a skateboard on the
streets, alleys, 1x~'' or commercial parking lots open to the general public
unless otherwise designated for such use.
SECTION 2.
All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
SECTION 3.
Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any
court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or
affect any other provision of this ordinance, except to the extent that the
entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning and
effect from the section to which such holding shall apply.

SECTION 4.
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law
and take effect June 11, 1996.
First Reading this 28th day of May, 1996.
Second Reading this 11th day of June, 1996.
