AND PERMANENTLY ABANDONING A PORTION OF KNAPP
STREET AND LAKE DRIVE, CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 8, PAGES 17
TO 23 INCLUSIVE, PUBLIC RECORDS, LAKE COUNTY,
FLORIDA; RESERVING TO THE CITY OF CLERMONT AN
EASEMENT FOR INGRESS EGRESS TO MAINTAIN UTILITIES,
SANITARY SEWER AND STORMWATER; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND ~, u:-.,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. ~ ~ ~.1
The City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida hereby ordains than
SECTION L `_
That portion of Knapp Street and Lake Drive located within the City of Clermont, Lake
County, Florida as hereinafter described in Exhibit "A", is hereby closed and permanently
abandoned.
SECTION 2.
This closing is done pursuant to the authority of the Charter of the City of Clermont, Lake
County, Florida, and the general laws of the State of Florida.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

SECTION 4.
Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or affect any other provision
of this ordinance, except to the extent that the entire section or part of the section
may be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such holding
shall apply.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law and take
effect immediately upon its second reading and final passage.

That 'portion of bake Drive nroording to the Plat of C.].errnor~t
Heights acid Orange Park, recorded in Plat Hook 4, Page 1 and Plat
Book 3, Page 20, respectively, Public Records of Lake County,
Florida (Commonly known as Lakeshore Drive) which is bounded on the
East by a line beginning on the South line of the aforesaid
CleXmant Heights at a point which is 5 feet East of the Southwest
corner of Lot 7, Clermont Heights, which line then extends South to
the waters of Lake Minnehaha, and bounded on the West by a line
beginning an t}ie South line of the aforesaid Orange park, at a
point which is 5 feet West of the Southeast corner of Lat 360,
Orange Park, which line then extends South to the waters of Lake
Minnehaha and bounded on the South by the waters of Lake Minnehaha
and bounded on the North by a line that ie parallel with Lake drive
and 7 feet South of the South pavement of Fake Drivo. Field

Street on the street signs of the City of Clermont. A portion of
the Weet baundary line of East Avenue (street sign states Knapp
street) is also the East boundary line of Lot 360, of the aforesaid
Orange Park. A portion of the East boundary line of Eaet Avenue is
also the West boundary line of Lot 7, Clermont Heights. Any
portion of East Avenue lying within the above vacated roadway is
hereby vacated. This vacation and closing is subject to the
condition that the City of Clermont reserves and holds easements
on, over and across the partially closed roadway for the purposes
of constructing and maintaining utilities and maintaining Lake
brive.
