For the greatest overall health benefit, experts recommend that you do 20 to 30 minutes of aerobic activity three or more times a week and some type of muscle strengthening activity and stretching at least twice a week Maintaining a sound level of overall fitness (strength and cardiovascular endurance) offers benefits to our officers that go well beyond the goal of reducing our overall insurance costs. It is widely known that officers who are basically physically fit and practice good nutritional habits perform better on the job, take fewer sick days and are less stressed than those who are less fit Project Summary (Scope of Work) This physical fitness package contains three (3) separate and distinct strength / cardio / endurance machines, each designed to achieve a desired outcome of becoming stronger and more aerobically fit To provide a baseline of where each employee's fitness level currently is and more importantly where the employee should be, this package includes quarterly testing of each employee for the next year using a multi- faceted exam. This exam consists of 4 individual tests administered by a certified strength and conditioning instructor The 4 tests are a body composition evaluation, body flexibility, upper body strength level and lower body strength level A USB key fob will be utilized to assign each officer a specific training session to help achieve their desired goal. These one on one evaluation sessions are conducted in private with only the instructor knowing the information gleaned Each member will be provided a PIN so all results, current and future, will remain anonymous. These tests are meant to not only evaluate those who need improvement but to identify those who are fit and still seeking improvement. The instructor /examiner is also a certified nutntionist and will assist those looking to improve their diet in an effort to complement and maximize their goal or desired level of physical fitness These three machines coupled with measurable, manageable, and personalized goals affords each employee a pathway to better health, decreased stress, and improved job performance. As is well known, regular exercise can help protect you from heart disease and stroke, high blood pressure, noninsulin- dependent diabetes, obesity, back pain, osteoporosis, and can improve your mood and help you to better manage stress The aforementioned are some of the causes for increased health insurance costs and the easiest to address . if we are willing to assist our employees in addressing these health issues For the greatest overall health benefit, experts recommend that you do 20 to 30 minutes of aerobic activity three or more times a week and some type of muscle strengthening activity and stretching at least twice a week Maintaining a sound level of overall fitness (strength and cardiovascular endurance) offers benefits to our officers that go well beyond the goal of reducing our overall insurance costs. It is widely known that officers who are basically physically fit and practice good nutritional habits perform better on the job, take fewer sick days and are Tess stressed than those who are Tess fit Project Summary (Scope of Work) This physical fitness package contains three (3) separate and distinct strength / cardio / endurance machines, each designed to achieve a desired outcome of becoming stronger and more aerobically fit To provide a baseline of where each employee's fitness level currently is and more importantly where the employee should be, this package includes quarterly testing of each employee for the next year using a multi- faceted exam This exam consists of 4 individual tests administered by a certified strength and conditioning instructor The 4 tests are a body composition evaluation, body flexibility, upper body strength level and lower body strength level A USB key fob will be utilized to assign each officer a specific training session to help achieve their desired goal These one on one evaluation sessions are conducted in private with only the instructor knowing the information gleaned. Each member will be provided a PIN so all results, current and future, will remain anonymous These tests are meant to not only evaluate those who need improvement but to identify those who are fit and still seeking improvement The instructor /examiner is also a certified nutritionist and will assist those looking to improve their diet in an effort to complement and maximize their goal or desired level of physical fitness. These three machines coupled with measurable, manageable, and personalized goals affords each employee a pathway to better health, decreased stress, and improved job performance.
