O-234-M• • CITYOF CLERMONT MISCELLANEQUS ORDINANCE NO. 234-M AN ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING A RATE SCHEDULE FOR WATER SERVICE, SEWER SERVICE AND SANITATION SERVICE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, HEREBY ORDAINS THAT: SECTION 1. BASIC RATE SCHEDULE FOR WATER SERVICE: A. Minimum Rate: $4.00 B. Additional Use: .90 cents per 1,000 gallons after the first 3,000 gallons SECTION 2. BASIC RATE SCHEDULE FOR SEWER SERVICE: A. Single Family Dwellings $14.50 B. Multiple Family Dwellings, including centrally metered apartments and mobile homes $13.95 C. Commercial Establishments 1. Food Establishments seating less than twenty (20) persons $32.11 Additional for each seat over twenty (20) .97 2. General Business, Offices, Churches & Clubs $19.28 3. General Business with Public Restrooms $28.94 4. Schools and Day Care Centers $19.28 Additional for each pupil over thirty (30) .43 5. Hotels, Motels, & Boarding Houses - per unit $ 7.73 6. Hospitals and Nursing Homes - per unit $ 6.44 7. Car Washes, Laundries, & Gas Stations with Car Washes 78% of water bill SECTION 2.1. VARIABLE RATE FOR SEWER SERVICE: In addition to the basic rate listed above, a variable rate of .22 based on each 1,000 gallons of water used after the first 3,000 gallons will be applied with a maximum charge of $3.22. The maximum variable charge on multi-family dwellings or multiple commercial establishments will be considered $3.22 per unit or commercial establishment. • • CITYOF CLERMONT MISCELLANEOUS ORDiNA1VTCE NO. 234-M PAGE -2- SECTION 3. BASIC RATE FOR SANITATION SERVICE: A. Residential unit, including centrally metered apartments and mobile homes $16.50 B. Commercial and Industrial Accounts - Two (2) cans $16.50 Ea. additional can over two, maximum of twelve (12) $ 6.85 C. All new Commercial and Industrial accounts will be required to use a commercial sanitation service SECTION 4. All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. SECTION 5. Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or affect any other provision of this ordinance, except to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such holding shall apply. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law and take effect October 1, 1991. First Reading this 5th day of September, 1991.
