AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, CLOSING AND PERMANENTLY ABANDONING A PORTION
OF STRICKLING STREET RUNNING SOUTH FROM THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE
OF CLOSED HILL STREET TO THE NORTH RIGHT-OF-WAY LINE OF MINNEHAHA
AVENUE ACCORDING TO THE OFFICIAL MAP OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY FLORIDA, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH,
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
The City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida hereby
ordains that:
SECTION 1.
That portion of Strickling Street located within the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida as hereinafter described, is hereby closed and
permanently abandoned:
That part of Strickling Street running south from the
north right-of-way line of closed Hill Street to the
north right-of-way line of Minnehaha Avenue as shown
on the Official Map of the City of Clermont, recorded
in Plat Book 8, Pages 17-23, inclusive, Public Records ~.
of Lake County, Florida. ~
Reserving to the City of Clermont a fifteen foot easement
for ingress, egress and utilities, running 7.5 feet on ~
either side of the centerline of this closed part of
Strickling Street. --~

SECTION 2.
This closing is done pursuant to the authority of the Charter of the
City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, and the general laws of the
State of Florida.
SECTION 3.
All ordinances or parts of this ordinance in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
SECTION 4.
Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by
any court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not
apply or affect any other provision of this ordinance, except to
the extent that the entire section or part of the section may be
inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such
holding shall apply.
SECTION 5.
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become
law and shall take effect upon its second reading and final passage.
