O-144-MCITY OF CLERMONT MISC. ORDINANCES No. 144-M AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING A RATE SCHEDULE FOR WATER SERVICE, SEWER SERVICE AND SANITA- TION SERVICE, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA HEREBY ORDAINS THAT: SECTION 1. BASIC RATE SCHEDULE FOR WATER SERVICE: A. Single Family Dwellings: 1. Minimum Rate: $3.75 per 3,000 gallons; 3,000 gallon minimum 2. Additional Use: .85¢ per 1,000 gallons B. Multiple Family Dwellings, including centrally metered apartments and mobile homes: 1. Minimum Rate: $3.75 per 3,000 gallons; 3,000 gallon minimum 2. Additional Use: .85¢ per 1,000 gallons C. Commercial and Industrial Establishments: 1. Minimum Rate: $3.75 per 3,000 gallons; 3,000 gallon minimum 2. Additional Use: .85¢ per 1,000 gallons SECTION 2. BASIC RATE SCHEDULE FOR SEWER SERVICE: A. Single Family Dwellinqs ................ $11.85 B. Multiple Family Dwellings, including centrally metered apartments and mobile homes .............. $11.35 C. Commercial Establist~ments: 1. Food Establishments seating less than (20) twenty persons .................. $26.25 Extra for each seat over (20) twenty ........ 80 2. General Businesses, Offices, Churches & Clubs $15.75 3. General Businesses, Offices with Public Restrooms $23.65 4. Schools, Day Care Centers ............. $15.75 Plus . .35 for each pupil over (30) thirty pupils 5. Hotels, Motels, and Boarding Houses ........ $ 6.30 per unit 6. Hospitals and Nursing Homes ............ $ 5.25 per bed 7. Car Washes, Laundries, and Gas Stations with Car Washes ...................... 60% of water bill D. Industrial Establishments: Rates for industrial use shall be established upon receipt of application for sewage service. The rate will be based on volume, treatability, composition, and strength of industrial waste. CITY OF CLERMONT MISC. ORDINANCES No. 144-M SECTION 3. BASIC RATE SCHEDULE FOR SANITATION SERVICE: A. Single Family Dwellings ................ $6.00 B. Multiple Family Dwellings, including centrally metered apartments and mobile homes .............. $5.50 per unit C. Commercial and Industrial ............... $6.00 for two cans. Plus ...................... $2.00 for each additional can. D. Maximum Service is (12) twelve thirty gallon capacity cans. Commercial and Industrial accounts generating greater volume than (12) twelve cans will be required to use a commercial sanitation service. SECTION 4. Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any Court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply or affect any other provision of this Ordinance, except to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such holding shall apply. The rate for utility services may be adjusted when more than one business is located in a single office. If the total number of employees of all businesses is less than five employees, and the total number of businesses do not create any additional demand for service over those required by a single business enterprise; the rate for a single business may be applied. SECTION 5. This Ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law and shall take effect September 1, 1982. First Reading this 23rd day of April , 1982.
