AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF DIVISION STREET, LOCATED
WEST OF DISSTON A VENUE AND EAST OF DREW A VENUE IN CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO PALM LANE; PROVIDING EFFECTIVE
DA TE OF THIS ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, as represented on the Official Map of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida, filed 2/4/26 and recorded in Plat Book 8, pages
17 - 23, inclusive, public records of Lake County, Florida, there are two
streets named and/or designated as Division Street, one being a fractional
part of the Northern boundary of this City and the other being located one
Block South of and parallel to Minnehaha Avenue, West of Disston Avenue
and East of Drew Avenue; and,
WHEREAS, over 20 years ago the residents and property owners on
the second above described Division Street were granted permission to re-
name same to Palm Lane, and since then all City records recognize same
to be Palm Lane as well as all property owners thereon, but no official action
has been taken by any Council to change the name to Palm Lane, and this
Council finds it necessary in the interests of the general welfare of this City
to officially re-name same to Palm Lane, and to pass this Ordinance as an
emergency measure; therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Division Street, as represented on the Official Map
of the City of Clermont, filed 2/4/26 and recorded in Plat Book 8, pages
17-23, inclusive, public records of Lake County, Florida, and located one
block South of and parellel to Minnehaha A venue and lying West of Disston
A venue and East of Drew A venue be changed and hereafter designated as
PALM LANE.
SECTION II. That a certified copy of this Ordinance be recorded in
the public records of Lake County, Florida; that the change of name of said
street be noted on the Official Map of this City; and, that this Council finds
it necessary to delcare the passage of this Ordinance to be an emergency
measure, and, therefore same shall become effective immediately upon its
passage.
