South Lake Animal League City of CCermont
Proclamation
Whereas, this year marks the 25th anniversary of the South Lake Animal League, which
was organized in 1988; and
Whereas, this organization has been rescuing and re-homing dogs and cats which
have been abandoned, abused or neglected every year; and
"Whereas, this organization strives to promote adoption, awareness, education, and
responsible pet ownership, and
"Whereas, the community extends its appreciation to the South Lake Animal League
for the many valuable contributions it has made over the years, and
"Whereas, the community recognizes their many worthwhile activities, such as their
Nourish the Needy Program for pets of the homeless and those in need, the In League
with Humane Education Program, and their affiliation with the Pet Peace of Mind
Cornerstone Hospice Program;
Now, Therefore, Be it Resofve4 that the City of Clermont recognizes the
South Lake Animal League for their continuing efforts and further urge all our citizens to
be cognizant of these efforts and programs
In Witness "Whereof I, Harold S Turville, Jr., Mayor of the City of Clermont
in the State of Flonda, have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of
Clermont to be affixed this 12th day of February in the year of our Lord two thousand
thirteen
