ORDINANCE NUMBER So
AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING A TAX LEVY ON PROPERTY
IN THE CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, FOR THE YEAR 1940;
AND APPROPRIATING MONEYS FOR THE OPERATION OF THE
GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT FOR THE YEAR 1941.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT:
SECTION 1. For the operation of and government
of the City óf Clermont for the calendar year 1941 it is

hereby found and determined that the following sums are
necessary:
For General Fund $ 3,720.353
For Interest and
Sinking Fund on
Refunding Bonds $13,641.29
For Delinquent
Tax Note Fund' $ 4,960.53
Total $22,322.17
SECTION 2. For the purpose of raising money with
which to conduct and operate the government of the City of
Clermont for the calendar year 1941, a tax of 18 mills on each
dollar of assessed value of property within the City of Cler-
mont, be and the same is hereby levied for the year 1940; and
said millage is to be distributed as follows:
For General Fund 3 mills
For Interest and
Sinking Fund 11 mills
For Delinquent
Tax Note Fund 4 mills
SECTION 3. There is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund the following sums for the conducting and opera-
tion of the several departments of the City government for the
year 1941:
Administrative department $ 3,224.01
. Street department $ 4,200.00
F:ir e department $ 600.00
Police department $ 3,000.00
Parks department $ 700.00
Cemetery department $ 135.00
Sanitation department $ 1,200.00
Water department $ 3,000.00
The amount hereby appropriated shall include such
other revenues of the City as are not raised by general
taxation. The expenditures named are subject to the con-
trol of the City Council and at the end of the year, if
there shall be any amounts unexpended, the same shall re-
vert to the general fund for re-distribution. The entire
amount collected under the millage which is levied for
interest and sinking fund and delinquent tax note fund,
if not required during the year, shall, at the end thereof,
revert to the respective funds for which the levy was made.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor and
taxes shall be due and payable as is provided by law.
