AN 0 RDINANCE REGULATING THE HOURS OF SALE
OF INTOXICATING LIQUORS IN THE CITY OF
CLERMONT AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT:
SECTION 1: All places of business selling intoxicating
liquors at retail or wholesale within the city limits of the
City of Clermont shall close at Twelve (12) P. M.. and remain
closed until Eight (8) A. M. the following morning, except
said places of business shall close at Twelve (12) P. M. on
Saturday and remain closed until Eight (8) A. M. on the
following Monday.
SECTION 2: Any person, firm, or corporation violating
any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction
thereof in the Mayor's Court, be punished by a fine not to
exceed $150.00 or by imprisonment for a period not to exceed
Sixty (60) days or by both such fine and imprisonment in the
descretion of the Mayor.
SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon its passage and upon its being signed by the President
of the City èouncil and upon approval by the Mayor.
SECTION 4: That all ordinances or parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith or inconsistent with the provisions of
this ordinance are hereby repealed.
