AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 9, SECTION 9-2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR REGULATION FOR THE INSTALLA-
TION OF YARD TRANSMISSION LINES FOR USE WITH NATURAL AND UNDILUTED
LIQUIFIED PETROLEUM GAS
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORID~:
SECTION 1. PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The purpose of this Ordinance is to
provide minimum standard depths for safe installation of consumer's
gas yard piping within the corporate limits of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida.
SECTION 2. REGULATION DEPTH: Yard piping for the transmission of
consumer's natural or undiluted liquified petroleum gas shall be
installed and maintained underground at a minimum depth of twenty-four
(24") inches beneath the surface of the ground from the point of
delivery of the gas company to the house piping where it enters the
building or foundation of such building.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE: This Ordinance is hereby declared to
be an emergency measure and shall become effective immediately upon
its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED as an emergency measure by the City Council
of the City of Clermont on the 19th day of May, 1964.
