ORDINANCE NO. 12-C
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 17, SECTION L7-1 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES,
CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, IN ORDER TO ADOPT THE SOUTHERN STANDARD BUILD-
ING CODE, PART III-PLUMBING, 1962-1963 EDITION, AS PUBLISHED BY THE
SOUTHERN BUILDING CODE CONGRESS, TOGETHER WITH ALL APENDICES THEREIN
EXCEPT AS HEREINAFTER PROVIDED WITH REGARD TO AMOUNT OF BOND, AS THE CODE
OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT RELATING TO EVERY PLUMBING INSTALLATION, INCLUDING
ALTERATIONS, REPAIRS, EQUIPMENT, APPLIANCES, FIXTURES, FITTINGS AND/OR
APPURTENANCES THERETO; PROVIDING FOR REDUCTION IN AMOUNT OF BOND REQUIRED
IN SECTION 109.5 OF SAID EDITION; PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS
OF THE PROVISIONS THEREOF; PROVIDING WHEN THIS ORDINANCE SF~LL BECOME
EFFECTIVE: A1~ PROVIDING FOR REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
SECTION L. That Section 17-1 of Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances of
Clermont, Florida, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"That the Southern Standard Building Code, 1962-1963 Edition, Part
III-Plumbing, as published by the Southern Building Code Congress, Birming-
ham, Alabama, 3 copies of which have been on file in the office of the
Clerk of the City of Clermont for more than 10 days last past before the
passage of this Section, together with all apendices therein, is hereby
adopted by the City of Clermont by reference as if set forth herein
verbatim, as the Ordinance of the City of Clermont, governing every plumbing
installation, including alterations, repairs, equipment, appliances,
fixtures, fitting and/or appurtenances thereto hereafter made within the
City of Clermont, and it shall be unlawfull to engage in any such plUmbing
installation in the City of Clermont in violation, or without complying
with the provisions of that code. Three copies of said Plumbing Code
shall be kept on file in the office of the Clerk of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida."
SECTION 2. Section 109.5 of said Southern Standard Building Code, Part
III-Plumbing, 1962-1963 Edition, provides for a $5,OOO.OO,'Dond. It isuthe
Ordinance of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, that said Section
is hereby modified and hereby provides for a $1,000.00 bond instead of
the $5,000.00 bond as required therein.
SECTION 3. Any person, firm or corporation or agent who shall violate a
provision of this code or fail to comply therewith or with any of the
provision thereof, or violate a detailed statement or plans submitted
and approved thereunder, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor. Each person
shall be deemed guilty of a separate offense for each and every day or
portion thereof during which any violation or any' of the provisions of
this code is committed or continued, and upon conviction in the Court of
Jurisdiction for any such violation shch'~erson shall be punished by a
fine of not more than Two Hundred $200.00) Dollars or imprisonment for
a term of not more than Thirty (30) days.
SECTION 4. All ordinances, or parts of ordinances, in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

SECTION 5. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emgrgency measure
and shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
PASSED AND ADOPTED AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, ON
THE 16th DAY OF JUNE, 1964.
