AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROHIBITING THE CONSUMPTION, POSSESSION AND/OR DISTRIBUTION
OF INTOXICATING BEVERAGES UPON ANY PUBLIC PARK OR PLAYGROUND OWNED, OPERATED,
LEASED OR OTHERWISE UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,LAKE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, WHERE YOUTH ACTIVITIES ARE BEING CARRIED ON
BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
It shall be unlawful for any person to consume, possess, distribute or
in any other way have in his possession any intoxicating beverage as
defined by the laws of the State of Florida, upon any public park and/or
playground owned, operated, leased or otherwise under the control of the
City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, where youth activities are being
carried on,
Any person being found in violation of this Ordinance shall be, upon
conviction, subject to a fine not to exceed ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100.00)
or imprisonment for a period of not more than THIRTY (30) days, or by
both such fine and imprisonment.
THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON BECOMING A LAW.
