CODE ORDINANCES N~ 60 NO 2§-C AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA: PROVIDING FOR AMENDMENT OF THE CHAPTER TWENTY- FOUR (24) OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES PERTAINING TO TRAILERS AND TRAILER COURTS; PROVIDING FOR THE ALLOWANCE OF RESTRICTED TRAILER PARKING IN CERTAIN AREAS BY PERMIT;PRQVIDING FOR THE PARKING OF TRAILERS IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES FOR LIMITED PERIODS. BE IT ORDAINED AND ESTABLISHED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT: 1. This ordinance amends that Ordinance now contained in the codified code of the City of Clermont, Florida under Chapter 24. 2. That Section 24-2 be and the same hereby is amended by adding thereto following the word "Chapter" in the first line thereof the phrase "e¡gcept as provided herein". 3. Section 24-2a shall be added and shall read as follows: Any person, company organization desiring to park a Trailer in any area of this city that is zoned Commercial or Industrial shall apply to the City Manager for a permit allowing such and shall furnish said City Manager with all necessary information concerning said Trailer including, but not limited to: dimensions, conditions, septic facilities, purported use, and period requested for permit. The City Manager may then issue a permit for such parking on a temporary basis not to exceed 30 days, with option to renew, such renewal being with the City Manager's discretion. Such permit shall be granted unless the City Manager states in writing to the applicant the reasons that such permit would be detrimental to the health, morals, and/or welfare of the Community. Such Trailers shall be used only for Office Space or Storage. The permittees shall properly identify the owner of such Trailers ànd,thenbl,lsd:ness in whioh :,it is being used by placing on said Trailer in a conspicuous location a sign denoting the same which shall be legible to normal vision at a distance of not less than 100 feet. Trailers parked under provisions of this Section may be connected to the electric power system providing that- the connection complies with the provisions of the Clermont Electrical Code and are inspected by the City Building Inspector, however; in no case shall they be connected with any public or private sewerage system, nor can they be occupied temporarily or permanently as an abode or living quarters for any person or persons. The permittee shall pay a fee of '1'éil':Dollars ($10.00) for the original permit. Renewals shall be gratis. 4. Section 24-2b shall be added and shall read as follows: Trailers as defined in this Chapter may be parked in residential zones for a period of no more than 72 hours; provided however that the person requesting such permission shall so notify the City Manager of such parking by the end of the 'next business day following such parking. 5. Section 24-2c shall be added and shall read as follows: Nothing contained within this Chapter herein shall in anywise permit the parking of Trailers as defined herein upon any street, highway or city property within the territorial boundaries of this city. THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY UPON BECOMING A LAW. . .
