CODE ORDINANCES N~ 67 No. 32-C AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA: PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDMENT OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 195 BY DELETING PARAGRAPH 5.1 OF ARTICLE V AND SUBSTITUTING IN ITS PLACE THE FOLLOWING THE CITY OF CLERMONT HEREBY ORDAINS THAT ORDINANCE NO. 195 OF THE COÐE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERHONT BE AMENDED BY DELETING THEREFROM PARAGRAPH 5.1 OF ARTICLE V AND SUBSTITUTING THEREFORE, THE FOLLOWING, ARTICLE V RETIREMENT AND RETIREMENT BENEFITS 5.1 Normal Retirement: A General Employee (excludes Firemen and Policemen) will normally retire on the first day of the month following (or coinciding with) the attainment of the ages shown in the follow- ing schedule: Age at Entry Into the Plan 55 and under 56 57 58 59 60 to 65 Retirement Age 65 66 67 68 69 70 Firemen and Policemen will normally retire of the month following (or coinciding with the age shown in the following schedule: on the first day )the attaintment of Age at Entry Into the Plan 50 and under 51 52 53 54 55 - 65 Retirement Age 60 61 62 63 64 65 In the event of such retirement the retiring employee shall be entitled to and shall be paid an annuity payable monthly beginning with the month of retirement and continuing until death. The amount of the annuity to which a retiring employee is entitled shall be ~eä~culated as follows: For each year of credited service prior to the effective date of the plan an employee will receive an annual pe~sion of l.l per cent of the annual rate of earnings as of the effective date of the plan up to $4,800.00, plus 2.2 per cent of his annual rate of earnings as of the effective date of the plan in excess of $4,800.00. For each year of credited service from the effective date of the plan to December ~1, 1970 an employee will receive an annual peasion equal to l.l per cent of his annual earnings up to $4,800.00 plus 2.2%of his annual earnings in excess of $4,800.00. For each year of credited service starting with January 1, 1971 an employee will receive an annual pension of 1.1 per cent of his annual earnings up to $6,600.00, plus 2.0 per cent of his annual earnings in excess of $6,600.00 An employee will be given credit for his service to the City " -- . . This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon becoming a Law.
