Jan Sheldon City of Clermont Proclamation 3Conoring Jan Sheldon Whereas, Jan Sheldon founded Clermont's community theatre; The Moonlight Players Theatre, in 1994; and Whereas, Ms. Sheldon started The Moonlight Players Theatre with $500 provided by her father to produce the first play; The Sound of Music; and Whereas, The Moonlight Players Theatre has brought much joy and entertainment to Clermont residents and helped bring business to downtown Clermont; and Whereas, Ms. Sheldon also nurtured an Improv group for youth called The Lunatics; and Whereas, some of the young people who have been directed by Jan Sheldon went on to become Broadway actors; and Whereas, The Moonlight Players Theatre is celebrating its 20th anniversary in September, 2014; and Whereas, Ms. Sheldon is retiring in September, 2014; Now, Therefore, Be It Proclaimed that the City of Clermont expresses its appreciation to Jan Sheldon for her years of service and contributions to the Clermont community. In Witness Whereof, I, Harold S.
