Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month City of Clermont Proclamation Whereas, pancreatic cancer is one of the deadliest cancers and is currently the fourth leading cause of cancer death in the United States and is projected to become the second by 2020; and Whereas, when symptoms of pancreatic cancer present themselves, it is generally late stage and approximately 2,890 deaths will occur in Florida in 2014; and 'Whereas, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is the national organization serving the pancreatic cancer community in the City of Clermont and nationwide; and Whereas, the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network and its affiliates support those patients currently battling pancreatic cancer as well as those who have lost their lives to the disease, and are committed to nothing less than a cure; and Whereas, the good health and well-being of the residents of the City of Clermont are enhanced as a direct result of increased awareness about pancreatic cancer and research; Now, Therefore, I, Harold S. Turville, by virtue of the authority vested in me as Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of Florida, do hereby proclaim the month of November, 2014 as Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Clermont to be affixed this 28th day of October in the year two thousand fourteen. 1111W„„,o;'----!-lf-' Harold S.
