Arlene Rand Day City of CCermont
Proclamation
Whereas, Arlene Rand served as Recording Secretary; First, Second, and Third
Vice President; and is currently President Elect of the Florida Federation of
Garden Clubs; and
Whereas, Ms. Rand is the first President from the City of Clermont; and
Whereas, she has served the Clermont Garden Club as Flower Show Chairman,
Garden Walk Chairman, and has served three times as President of the Clermont
Garden Club; and
'Whereas, Ms. Rand landscaped the Clermont Garden Club, the Old Cooper
Memorial Library, as well as other downtown locations; and
'Whereas, she has served as National Garden Club Flower Show Judge; Master
Judge; and is a Life Member of the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, the
National Garden Club, and the Clermont Garden Club; and
'Whereas, Ms. Rand was inducted into the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs
Hall of Fame; and
Now, Therefore, I, Gail L. Ash, Mayor of the City of Clermont in the State of
Florida, do hereby proclaim May 9, 2015 as
