RESOLUTION NO. 2016-17
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA
DIVISION OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS CULTURAL FACILITIES
PROGRAM REQUESTING $500,000 FOR THE WEST LAKE
WETLANDS PERFORMANCE/EVENT AREA AND FURTHER
AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT OF $1,000,000 AS THE CITY'S
REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont has the opportunity to apply for funding in the amount
of$500,000 for the West Lake Wetlands Performance/Event Area, with the stipulation of a 2 to 1
matching funds, and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of$1,000,000 necessary for the required match can
be partially in the form of cash and expenditures incurred at the project site dunng the last 5
years from June 1, 2016,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Flonda
SECTION 1.
That the above recitals are hereby adopted
SECTION 2.
That the City Council hereby authonzes the use of$1,000,000 in eligible expenditures already
incurred or cash to be available by July 1, 2017 for required matching funds for a grant
application to the Flonda Division of Cultural Affairs in quest for funding for the project
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption
