AN ORDINANCE OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES, ARTICLE III. DISTRICTS, DIVISION 8, C-l LIGHT
COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, SECTION 122-204 CONDITIONAL USES;
DIVISION 9, C-2 GENERAL COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, SECTION 122-
223, PERMITTED USES AND SECTION 122-224, CONDITIONAL USES;
DIVISION 10, CBD CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT, SECTION 122-244
CONDITIONAL USES; AND DIVISION 11 M-l INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT,
SECTION 122-264 CONDITIONAL USES; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE, AND
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION.
The City Council of the City of Clermont hereby ordains that:
SECTION I.
ARTICLE III. DISTRICTS, Division 8, C-I Light Commercial District, Section 122-204
Conditional Uses (a) (I) is hereby amended to read as follows:
(I) Retail businesses, personal service establishments and professional offices greater
than 5,000 square feet7 provided, however. that no retail establishment may
occupy more than 100,000 square feet.
SECTION II
ARTICLE III DISTRICTS, Division 9, C-2 General Commercial District, Sec. 122-223,
Permitted uses (a) is amended by adding (8) as follows:
(8) No retail establishment may ocCUpy more than 100,000 square feet.
SECTION III
ARTICLE III DISTRICTS, Division 9, C-2 General Commercial District, Sec. 122-224
Conditional Uses (a) is amended by adding (16) as follows:
(16) No retail establishment may occuPy more than 100,000 square feet.

SECTION IV
ARTICLE III DISTRICTS, Division 10 CBD Central Business District, Sec. 122-244
Conditional Uses (a) (1) is amended to read as follows:
(I) Retail, personal service establishments and professional offices occupying 3,000
square feet of total floor area or morf7 provided. however. that no retail
establishment may OCCUpy more than 100.000 square feet.
SECTION V
ARTICLE III DISTRICTS, Division II, M-I Industrial District, Sec. 122-264 Conditional Uses
(b) is amended by adding (4) as follows:
(4) No wholesale or retail establishment may ocCUPY more than 100.000 square feet.
SECTION VI
All other conditions shall remain in full force and effect.
SECTION VII
All Ordinances or parts of this Ordinance in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION VIII
Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid by any court of competent
jurisdiction, such adjudications shall not apply to or affect any other provision of this Ordinance,
except to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may be inseparable in meaning
and effect from the section to which such holding shall apply.
SECTION IX
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law and take effect
April 13, 1999.
