CODE ORDINANCE
NO. 288-C
AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING ARTICLE 5,
SECTION 31 OF THE CHARTER OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT HEREBY ORDAINS
THAT:
SECTION 1.
Article V, Section 31, Paragraph (d) shall be amended to read as follows:
The City Manager shall be chosen by the Council solely on the basis of his
executive and administrative qualifications with special reference to his actual
experience in, or knowledge of, accepted practice in respect to the duties of this
office as hereinafter set forth.
SECTION 2.
All ordinances and/or part of ordinances which are in conflict with this
ordinance are hereby repealed and same shall be of no further force and effect.

SECTION 3.
This ordinance shall be published as provided by law and it shall become law
and take effect on this 23th day of June, 1998.
First Reading this 9th day of June, 1998.
Second Reading this 23rd day of June, 1998.
