CODE ORDINANCE
No. 264-C
AN ORDINANCE UNDER THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 2,
SECTION 8, PURCHASING, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
PUBLICATION AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY,
FLORIDA, HEREBY ORDAINS THAT:
SECTION 1.
Section 2-8 of Chapter 2, Purchasing, Code of Ordinances is
hereby amended to read as follows:
Section 2-8. Purchasing.
(a) The City Council shall adopt by Resolution a
PURCHASING POLICY to be administered by the
City Manager or purchasing Agent designated by
the City Manager.
(b) Said PURCHASING POLICY may be amended from time
to time by Resolution of the City Council if
deemed in the best interest of the City.
(c) Said PURCHASING POLICY shall apply to all City
Departments and other governmental operations
under the jurisdiction of the City Council.
(d) Said PURCHASING POLICY shall establish
procedures for the procurement process that
will protect the integrity of the City and be
available for public scrutiny.
Section 2.
Should any section or part of this section be declared invalid
by any court of competent jurisdiction, such adjudications shall
not apply or affect any other provision of this ordinance, except
to the extent that the entire section or part of the section may
be inseparable in meaning and effect from the section to which such
holding shall apply.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall be published as provided by
