1N3 'EREAS, Central Florida's mild climate and scenic roadways make motorcycle riding an
enjoyable experience throughout the year; and
WHEREAS, Florida's growing population makes motorcycle safety an important issue for all
drivers; and
'WHEREAS', May 2017 is being commemorated as Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month; and
1 V3-(EREAS, more than a million drivers in Florida have a motorcycle endorsement on their
driver's license; and
WHEREAS, motorcycles can easily be hidden in traffic; therefore, it is important for motorists
to search the traffic around them and always expect to see motorcycles;and
1473-(ERE.91S, to prevent injuries and deaths on Florida's roadways, motorcyclists and motorists
must be vigilant in their efforts to share the road and ensure the safety of everyone;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gail L.Ash, Mayor of the City of Clermont, Florida, hereby proclaim
