South Street, Suite.700 Orlando, Florida 31801 Attention: Mr. James Kinzler Subject: Proposal for Geotechnical Engineering Services Clermont Boat Ramp - City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida. Dear Mr. Kinzler: Andreyev Engineering, Inc: (AEI) is pleased to submit this proposal Geotechnical Engineering Services in connection with the subject project. Our firm has previously submitted a preliminary report for the subject property, dated April 27, 2016. Presented • herein is our proposed scope of services and cost estimate. In addition, it is agreed that AEI's services will be performed pursuant to AEI's General Conditions, .which are enclosed herewith and are incorporated into this proposal. PROPOSED GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING SERVICES It is our understanding that the subject property will be developed as a boat ramp facility with drainage/retention areas and associated asphalt and grass parking/drive areas. Our proposed scope of services for the investigation will include the following: • Mobilize drilling equipment to the site. Site clearing for access for our drilling equipment will be performed as needed. • Perform one (1) SPT boring to a depth of 35 feet below existing ground surface at the location of proposed boat ramp toe • Perform two (2) auger borings to a depth of.15 feet below existing ground surface - in the proposed drainage/retention areas. • Perform six (6) borings to a depth of 7 feet below existing ground surface at the locations of the proposed parking/drive areas. • Collect two (2) relatively undisturbed permeability tube samples for laboratory permeability tests from a depth of 3 ft below ground surface at the retention pond auger boring locations. • Measure stabilized groundwater table in-each borehole no sooner than 24 hours after drilling has been completed. Conduct laboratory tests as needed to assess the soil characteristics (i.e. moisture content, fines content (-200), PH and organic content). • Prepare a geotechnical report, presenting the results of our borings in profile form. PROJECT SCHEDULE Based on our present schedule we are prepared to mobilize to begin the field operation on this project within 10 to 15 days following your authorization to proceed, assuming access permission is obtained. We anticipate the field portion of the study to be completed in three (3) days. Engineering analysis, necessary laboratory work and report !, preparations should be completed within approximately 2 weeks after the completion of the fieldwork. ESTIMATED COSTS We estimate that we can perform this design level geotechnical investigation for a total fee of $9,874.00. In computing the above estimates, we have assumed the site is accessible to our drilling crew, that we have the right of entry to the site and that we will not experience delays due to reasons beyond our control. In addition, the above budget does not include the surveying necessary to stake the boring locations and any clearing of vegetation necessary for our drilling rig to access the boring locations. Additional work required beyond the scope of services included in this proposal will be invoiced on a time and expense basis. You will be contacted for authorization should additional work beyond the estimated budget be required to complete the scope of services. AUTHORIZATION Upon acceptance of this proposal, please sign one copy and return it to this office. Authorization should be indicated by the person or firm responsible for payment of our invoice. CLOSURE AEI appreciates the opportunity to submit this proposal, and we look forward to working with you on this project. If you have any questions or if we can provide any additional information, please feel free to call us at your convenience. Sincerely, Andreyev Engineering, Inc. Robert B. Cornelius, P.E. Ramo., .
