RESOLUTION NO. 2017-24
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A•GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA
DIVISION OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS CULTURAL FACILITIES
PROGRAM REQUESTING$500,000 FOR THE CITY HALL PARK
PLAZA AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT OF
$500,000 AS THE CITY'S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont has the opportunity to apply for funding in the
amount of$500,000 the City Hall Park Plaza, with the stipulation of a 2 to 1 matching
funds; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of$500,000 necessary for the required match
can be partially in the form of cash and expenditures relating to the City Hall Park Plaza
Project.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida:
SECTION 1.
That the above recitals are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2.
That the City Council hereby authorizes the use of$500,000 in eligible expenditures or
cash to be available by July 1, 2018 for required matching funds for a grant application to
the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs in quest for funding for the project.
SECTION 3.
That this resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
