WHEREAS, Lake Community Action Agency was established in 1966 with
the mission of "Helping People, Changing Lives to Become Self-Sufficient"; and
WHEREAS, Lake Community Action Agency is celebrating fifty years of
service to the Citizens of Lake County; and
WHEREAS, Lake Community Action Agency has assumed a leadership role
in providing a variety of assistance programs throughout Lake County; promoting
self-sufficiency; and
WHEREAS, during its tenure Lake Community Action Agency has remained
a voice for change and an advocate for the poor, elderly, homeless and
disadvantaged; and
WHEREAS, through such programs as Head Start, Early Head Start, VPK,
Summer Food, Weatherization and Home Energy Assistance, Lake Community
Action Agency provides hope, encouragement and the assistance that is
imperative for the well-being of citizens of our community;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gail L. Ash, Mayor of the City of Clermont, do hereby
urge all residents, businesses, and organizations to salute the Lake Community
Action Agency, to acknowledge and support its goals, objectives, programs and
achievements and to recognize the essential services that it provides to the needy
citizens in Clermont and all of Lake County.

my hand and caused the Great Seal of the City of Clermont to be affixed this 13"
