NO. 4-M
AN ORDINANCE ABANDONING AND VACATING AN ALLEY LYING BETWEEN
BLOCKS III AND 124, SUNSET PARK, CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA;
AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO,
WHEREAS, an alley lying between Blocks III and 124, and North of
Broome Street (now closed) and South of Juniata Street, Sunset Park, as rep-
resented on the Official Map of the City of Clermont filed 2/4/26 and recorded
in Plat Book 8, pages 17 to 23, inclusive, Public Records of Lake County,
Florida was established by the Plat hereinabove referred to; and
WHEREAS, the said alley serves no appreciable service for the City
and is not needed; and
WHEREAS, maintaining said alley will cause an expense to the City
without substantial benefit to the public; and
WHEREAS, there are no municipal services, payement, water, or
other improvements, or utilities established in, on, over said alley; and
WHEREAS, the best interests of the City will be served by the aban-
donment and vacating of said alley and the reverison of the lands within the
alley to the adjoining and abutting property owners; therefore
BE IT ORDIANED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA:
ITEM 1.
That the alley lying between Blocks 111 and 124, lying
North of Broome Street (now closed) and South of Juniata Street, Sunset Park,
as represented on the Official Map of the City of Clermont filed 2/4/26 and
recorded in Plat Book 8, pages 17 to 23, inclusive, Public Records of Lake

County, Florida, be, and the same is hereby forever abandoned, closed and
facated.
ITEM II,
That all lands lying within the area of the right of way
of the above described alley be, and the same are forever abandoned, closed
and vacated, and shall in equal proportions revert to, and in fee simple be-
come the property of the owners of the lands lying adjacent and abutting to
said alley; and the City of Clermont does hereby forever rennounce all rights
in any of the land so described hereinabove as being within the area or rights
of way of said alley herein abandoned, closed and vacated, and the public ease,~
ment therein is hereby forever abrogated.
ITEM III.
A copy of the Resolution adopted by this Council on
March: L9, 1963, proof of publication of said Notice and this Ordinance certified
to by the Clerk of this City shall be recorded in the Public Records of Lake
County, Florida at the expense of the City,
ITEM IV.
The Council of this City finds it necessary to declare
the passage of this Ordinance to be an emergency measure, and therefore,
same shall become effective immediately upon its passage.
