RESOLUTION ON ASSESSMENTS
WHEREAS, the Cit;,r Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County,
Florida, under its charter may assess on real estate a proportionate share
of the expense of improvement of any street adjoining or adjacent said real
estate in said City, which assessments may be made within three (3) months
after the improvement of said street when in the opinion of the City Council
any real estate shall receive any benefit and advantage therefrom beyond the
general advantage therefrom to all real estate in the City;
WHEREAS, because of the demand of many property owners owning real
estate adjoining and abutting Bloxam Avenue between State Road 50 and Hook
Street in the City of Clermont have requested said portion of Bloxam Avenue
be improved by grading and paving same, and because of the extensive growth,
and improvement of property adjacent to said street or avenue the City Counoil
of the City of Clermont have caused said portion of Bloxa.m Avenue to be graded
and paved and in their opinion the following described property, being all of
the lots or parcels of real estate adjoining or &butting said portion of
Bloxam Avenue so graded and paved will receive and have reoeived benefits from
the grading and paving of said avenue beyond the general advantage therefrom
to all real estate in said City, and the frontage of each parcel or lot on
said portion of Bloxam Avenue graded and paved and the pro¡x>rtionate share of
the cost thereof, which is not in excess of two-thirds (2/3rds) of the total
cost or expense of grading and paving said portion of Bloxa.m Avenue is:

BE IT RESOLVED by the City Counoil of the City of CleI'IWnt, Lake County,
Florida, that they do hereby assess against each and every of the above and fore-
going described lots or parcels of property respectively on the basis of front
footage the proportionate cost of grading and paving said portion of Bloxam
Avenue between State Road 50 and Hook Street within the said City on the basis
of the proportionate cost thereof not in excess of 2/3rds of the total cost
or expense thereof as set forth in particular hereinabove after each respective
lot or parcel of real property in said City,aad do hereby direct the City Clerk
and/or the Tax Assessor of the City of Clermont to :ihediate1y enter each assess-
ment,as set forth hereinabove, against each respective parcel of property in
the Street Improvement Lien Book of the City of Clermont, whioh lien shall be and
is hereby declared to be a first lien until paid upon and against eaoh respective
paroel of property described in said assessment, subject only to State, County
and City of Clermont taxes; and, the City Clerk of the City of Clermont is
hereby direoted to be caused to be published a Notice of Assessments for at least

eKe issue in the Cler.mont Press, a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, giving therein due notice of
the assessments against each and every parcel or lot adjoining or abutting
said portion of Bloxam Avenue above described, by listing each parcel or lot
of real pa70perty seperately and giving, if available from his records or from
those of the Tax Assessor's and/or Tax Collector's the name of the owner(s) of
each lot or parcel of property against which an assessment has been made, the
front footage of each lot or parcel of property and the total assessment made
against each lot or parcel of property, and giving each person or others that
may be interested in any of said lots or parcels of property an opportunity
to complain to this City Council against the respective assessment at a meeting
(special or regular) of the City Council to be held in the City Hall of the
City of Clermont at the hour of 7:30 o'clock P. M. on a date not less than
ten (10) days from the date of the first publication of said notice of meeting;
and, thereafter if no complaints be made,or any adjustments or corrections be
made by this City Council based on a comf)laint,the assessments as originally
made and/or as corrected or adjusted by this Council at said meeting,or at an
adjourned meeting thereof, shall then stand confirmed at the final adjournment
of said meeting which respective assessments shall then,and are hereby declared
to then become a first lien until paid upon the property described in said
assessment, subject to only State, County and City of Cler.mont taxes, and said
liens shall and are hereby declared to be due and payable on or before one
(1) year from date of the final adjournment of said meeting, and each assessment
and lien shall bear interest from that date until paid in full at the rate of
six (6) per centum per annum payable annually, and if net paid on or before one
year from date thereof same shall be :t1àereaf'ter foreclosed or the payment thereof
shall be enforced in accordance with the Charter and laws and ordinances of the
Ci ty of Clermont, but nothing herein contained shall prevent the enforcement of
the payment thereof or the. foreclosure thereof by any other alternative or
substitute manner as provided under the general laws of the state of Florida, in
such cases made and provided, particularly as set forth and provided in §173,
Florida Statutes 1953, and any amendments thereto.

NOTICE OF ASSESSMENTS
The City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida,
hereby gives Notice that the lots and parcels of land hereinafter described,
and being situate within the City of Clermont have been assessed in the amounts
set opposite each lot or parcel as the value of the benefit and advantage to
such lot or parcel, beyond the general advantage to all the real estate within
the City, from the paving of BLOXAM AVENUE in front of or abutting thereto:
such assessments in no case exceeding two-thirds of the expense of such improve-
mente
And notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of
Clermont will meet at the City Hall in the City of Clermont on June 21, 1955
at 7: 30 0' clo ck P. M., and then and there hear any complaints whi ch the owner ( s )
or other persons(s) interested in any real estate assessed may wish to make
against the assessments thereon.
If there be no complaint, the assessments as originally made shall stand
confirmed at the adjournment of said meeting, but if any corrections be made
upon complaint, the assessments as corrected shall then stand confirmed.
