WHEREAS, the COUNTY OF LAKE is the owner of considerable
lands within the County, some of which border on lakes and navi-
gable streams apart of which is located on Lakes Louise, Susan,
Minnehaha, Minneola and Cherry and connecting streams between
said Lakes.
WHEREAS, the CITY OF CLERMONT, a Municipal Corporation,
in behalf of it's citizens and at the request of property owners
outside of the city, interested in the preservation of natural
beauty bounding said lakes and streams, are desirous of ac-
quiring the title to said lands from said County to be held by
the City of Clermont for the sole purpose of preserving the natural
beauty along said lakes and streams, taking title thereto in the
name of the City of Clermont, with a reservation therein that said
City can never, sell, lease, mortgage, trade or exchange or in any
other way dispose of it's interest or any part thereof in said
land except if the State of Florida and/or the Federal Government
desires said lands for public park purposes, then in that event.
said City be allowed to convey said lands to said governmental
agencies for park pur poses only; therefore~
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida, that said city do acquire said lands gen-
erally hereinabove described, from said County of Lake of the
state of Florida for such purposes; and that the officers of this

necessary to acquire said lands.
