R-59-073RESOLUTION 73 WHEREAS, all of Block I00 and Fractional Block 99 lying South of State Road 50 and North of Highland Avenue, in the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, is owned in fee simple by Martin P. Winther of Clermont, Lake County, Florida; and, WHEREAS, Fractional Highland Avenue lying North and South re- spectively, of said Blocks and East of 10th Street and West of West Ave- nue, in said City, one block in length East and West, and almost adjacent to State Road 50, and is no longer required by the traveling public as a street or public thoroughfare in said City; and, therefore, appears to the best interests of said City and all abutting property owners that same be forever abandoned and colsed, after due notice to all interested parties; and, if closed, that the said fractional. part of Highland Avenue revert to and become the property in fee simple in equal proportions of the abutting property owners; therefore, BE IT RESOLVID by the City Council of the City of Clermont that the City Clerk of this City do publish in the Clermont Press, a newspaper of general circulation, published in Clermont, Lake County, Florida, a Notice for two (2) consecutive weeks that the City Council will, at its Adjourned Regular Meeting to be held on October 20th, 1959, consider the passage of an Ordinance forever closing and abandoning the following de- scribed street as represented on the Official Map of the City of Clermont: Fractional Highland Avenue lying West of West Avenue and East of IOth treet and North of Block I00 and South of Fractional Block 99, lying South of State Road 50, and that those interested will be heard in writing, in person or through their respective agents or attorneys; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that after due hearing thereon, if there be no valid objections, the City Council pass an Ordinance forever abandoning and closing said street and said Ordinance further provide that the lands lying within the boundaries of said street, as above described, revert to, in equal proportions, in fee simple to the owners of the abutting property and the adjoina.ng real property; and that a copy of this Resolution, Proof of Pub- lication of said Notice and Ordinance, duly certified by the City Clerk, be recorded in the Public Records of Lake County,Florida. ADOPTID by the City Council of the City of Clermont at its Regular Meeting held on October 6th, I9S9.
