R-60-079''~ t RESOLUTION WHEREAS, a Street known as Broome Street extending East from 12th Street and West of Linton Court was duly established and ded- icated as a Street by and on the Official Map of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, duly filed on 2/4/26 and recorded in Plat Book 8, pages 17-23, inclusive, Public Records of Lake County, Florida; and, WHEREAS, State Road 50 has been constructed in the City of Clermont since the dedication of said Street, thereby crossing said Street in a Northwesterly and a Southeasterly direction, leaving a portion of said Broome Street to the West of Right -of -Way of said State Road 50 and East of the Right-of-Way of 12th Street and another part of said Street East of the Right-of-Way of State Road 50, which fractional part of Broome Street lying East of State Road 50 and -West of Linton Court, as dedicated and established on the Official Map of the City of Clermont, no longer serves an appreciable purpose for said City and is not needed; and, WHEREAS, maintenance of said Street would cause an expense to the Municipality with no subsequent benefit to the public because there can be no ingress or egress on said Broome Street to or from said State Road 50 because of the grade of State Road 50 and said Street is in a very poor state of repair at this time; therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont that the City Clerk do publish Notice for at least two consecutive weeks that at a designated regular meeting or an adjourned regular meeting, on a designated date and hour, the City Council of the City of Clermont will consider the passage of an Ordinance forever abandoning, closing and vacating the fractional part of Broome Street lying West of Linton Court and East of the Right -of -Way of State Road 50 and that said Ordinance shall further provide that the lands lying within that portion of Broome Street proposed to be forever abandoned, closed and vacated, shall revert to, in fee simple in equal proportions to the owners of the property abutting thereto; and that after the passage of said Ordinance that a copy of this Resolution, Proof of Publication of Notice and copy of this Ordinance, duly certified to by the City Clerk, be recorded in the Public Records of Lake County, Florida.
