RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the Farm to Market Road more definitely des-
ignated as Federal .Aid Project #185 B, extending from Anderson Street
in a Southerly direction to intersect State Road 551, approximately six
(6) miles in a Southwesterly direction of the City of Clermont, Lake
County, Florida, is constructed along the East boundary of Lake Min-
nehaha upon which beautiful homes and large bearing citrus groves are
planted and South thereof extends through a portion of the largest citrus
area of the South end of Lake County and is constantly in use by not only
the general traveling public but by resident, fruit trucks, fertilizer
trucks and other heavy equipment; and across and over a waterway
connecting Lake Minnehaha with Lake Susan is a wooden bridge in a very
poor state of repair and almost to the point of having to be closed because
of the condition of the timbers that support the bridge as well as the deck
thereon; and, the re-surfacing and reconstruction of said portions there-
of, as well as the reconstructing of said bridge, is vitally necessary to
the economy of those living on or near said Road, as well as those having
property thereon, as well as to the general economy of South Lake County;
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont,
that the Board of County Commissioners of Lake County, Florida, be re-
quested to place on their priority list for consideration, the reconstruction,
and re-building of a new bridge and the re-surfacing and reconstruction
of the said Farm to Market Road,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that two certified copies of
this Resolution be forwarded to said Board of County Commissioners at
"• their office in Tavares, Lake County, Florida.

at its Adjourned Regular Meeting held on February 15, 1960.
