RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, State Road 561 in Lake County, Florida,
running from the City of Clermont South to intersect with State
~"~ Road 33, runs through the largest citrus area in the South end of
the County, and on either side of which numerous grove and ranch
owners reside, therefore said Road is a main thoroughfare for not
only the general traveling public but people living within close prox -
unity of said Road and is heavily used in the hauling of citrus fruit,
fertilizer, feed, etc. , and, as said. Road was constructed over twenty
(20) years ago is now, because of the heavy traffic, in a very poor
state of repair; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Cler-
mont, Lake County, Florida, that the Board of County Commissioners
of s~.id County be requested to place the re-surfacing and/or re-
building of portions of said Road as is necessary, on their priority
list of Roads for said re-surfacing and/or re-construction, when same
are presented to the State Road Department of the State of Florida; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVID that two certified copies of this
Resolution be forthwith forwarded to said Board of County Cornnvssioners
at their office in Tavares, Lake County, Florida.
ADOPTID by the City Council of the City of Clermont at its
Adjourned Regular Meeting held on February 15, 1960.
