R-85-495 e e CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTIONS NO . 49 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING FEES AND REGULATIONS FOR WATER METERS AND WATER AND SEWER CONNECTIONS. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to make changes in regu- lations and fees for water meters and for water and sewer connections. BE IT RESOLVED, that upon the adoption of this Resolution the following specified rates, fees and regulations become effective: SECTION 1. WATER METER FEE: Two Inch TRADE-IN METER FEE ALLOWANCE $ 157 $ 25.00 $ 251 $ 60.00 $ 364 $ 125.00 $ 486 $ 175.00 Priced by Utility Director METER SIZE Five-Eighths Inch One Inch One and One-Half Inch Three Inch or Over SECTION 2. WATER CONNECTION FEE: A water connection fee shall be charged for all water connec- tions, except for property that has been previously assessed by Resolution or on property served by a public water line installed without cost to the City, such as new subdivisions. SERVICE SIZE FEE Two Inch or Less $3.00 per front foot Over Two Inch $4.50 per front foot For corner lots, the shorter of the two sides shall apply. For irregular shaped lots, the average of the front and rear lot lines shall apply. SECTION 3. SANITARY SEWER CONNECTION FEE: A sanitary sewer connection fee shall be charged for all sew~r connections, except for property which has been previously assessed by Resolution, or on property served by a public sewage collection ~ system installed without cost to the City, such as in new subdivisions. The connection fee shall be charged on the basis of $6.00 per front foot. For corner lots, the shorter of the two sides shall apply. For irregular shaped lots, the average of the front and rear lot lines shall apply. No building permit shall be issued until the sanitary sewer connection fee is collected. Nothing herein shall require the City to extend water or sewer lines, or to accept such lines constructed by others, when the City Council determines it is in the best interest of the City not to extend or accept such lines. e e CITY OF CLERMONT RESOLUTIONS NO. 495 Page -2- SECTION 4. WATER CHARGES DURING CONSTRUCTION Meters will be installed upon payment of required fees. During construction, water payments and any damage to the meter will be the responsibility of the contractor. Upon application for Certificate of Occupancy, the water will be shut off or transferred to the owner or tenant. The contractor will pay for water used prior to the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy. After the issuance of the Certificate of Occupancy, the owner or tenant must contract for water service and pay required deposits. SECTION 5.
