A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE
SUBMISSION OF A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE FLORIDA
DIVISION OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS CULTURAL FACILITIES
PROGRAM REQUESTING $500,000 FOR THE MEET US IN THE
MIDDLE PROJECT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING AN AMOUNT OF
$1,000,000 AS THE CITY'S REQUIRED MATCHING FUNDS.
WHEREAS, the City of'Clermont has the opportunity to apply for funding in the amount
of$500,000 the Meet Us In The Middle Project, stipulation of a 2 to 1 matching funds; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of$1,000,000, necessary for the required match can
be partially in the form of cash and expenditures relating to the Meet Us In The Middle Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida:
SECTION 1.
The above recitals are hereby adopted.
SECTION 2.
That the City Council hereby authorizes the use of$1,000,000 in eligible expenditures or cash to
be available by July 1, 2019 for required matching funds for a grant application to the Florida
Division of Cultural Affairs in the quest for funding for the project.
SECTION 3.
This Resolution shall be effective upon adoption.
