RESOLUTIONS
NO. 438
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING A
POLICY FOR BOAT DOCKS, BEACHES, AND SIMILAR
FACILITIES ON CITY-OWNED PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County,
Florida deems it advisable and in the best interest of the City to
establish a policy on boat docks, beaches, and like facilities on
City-owned property;
WHEREAS, City-owned or public property exists for the benefit of
all citizens;
WHEREAS, agreements between the City and citizens for private boat
docks or beaches on City property removes such property from the
use of the general public; and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida that agreements for boat docks,
beaches, or similar facilities on City-owned property shall not be
granted. All such facilities, if constructed on City property, must
be maintained by the City for use by all Clermont Citizens and the
general public.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS 26th DAY OF July 1983.
