A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA APPROVING
AN APPLICATION FOR A GRANT FROM THE LIBRARY
SERVICES CONSTRUCTION ACT, TITLE II, PUBLIC
LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AS APPROPRIATED UNDER
P.L. 98-8, THE EMERGENCY JOBS BILL.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida
is proud of the fine library services offered by the Cooper Memorial
Library;
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it advisable and in the best interest
of the City to expand our library facility to improve. our services;
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida owns sufficient
land for expansion,
WHEREAS, the Emergency Jobs Bill enacted by Congress provides for
additional funding for Public Library construction;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Cler-
mont, Lake County, Florida hereby authorizes the application for a
grant from the Library Services Construction Act, Title II, Public Li-
brary Construction as appropriated under P.L. 98-8, the Emergency Jobs
Bill, and the Mayor of the City of Clermont is authorized to execute
all documents necessary for this application.
DONE AND RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY. OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA THIS 26th DAY OF July 1983.
