R-67-093• • RESOLUTIONS N ° 14 4 No. 93 WHEREAS, the existing directional signs and other markings on U. S. Highway 27, adjacent to the Citrus Tower in the City of Clermont, are inadequate for their intended purpose, and WHEREAS, the south bound deacceleration lane and highway cross- over confuses south bound traffic desiring to enter the Citrus Tower area, and WHEREAS, such confusion results in some such south bound traffic proceeding along north bound lanes for a distance of approximately one hundred feet, and WHEREAS, such "wrong lane" traffic constitutes a most hazardous condition which is definitely contrary to highway safety, and WHEREAS, the north bound traffic has very little, if any, warning of the t~d7~g~rot~sCrossing until it is reached, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont does not consider the condition to be a local law enforcement problem but rather the need for further study and correction measures by your engineering department, THEREFORE, BE YT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Clermont that they most earnestly and respectfully request the State Road Department to have a further study .made of this area by their engineering department and that follow/s~$~h study that the necessary action be taken to correct this existing most hazardous condition ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont, Florida, held on February 28, 1967
