A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN
AD VALOREM MILEAGE RATE TO PARTIALLY FINANCE THE
GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATION OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, a portion of the revenue for the City's 1982-
83 Fiscal Year Budget must be raised from the assessment and levy
of an ad valorem tax on each dollar of taxable property in
the City of Clermont, Florida;
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City
Council of the City of Clermont that the assessed taxable value for
1982 for the City of Clermont, as prepared by the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake and received on July 29, 1982
is Seventy five million, three hundred ten thousand, seven hundred
fifty two dollars ($75,310,752) and that a tax rate of two point
seven nine three ($2.793) per One thousand dollars ($1,000)
valuation is the "ROL1. BACk" millage rate of the City and The City.s
millage rate does not exceed the roll $~ck rate.
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City
of Clermont, that to raise the sum of Two hundred seven thousand,
two hundred eighty seven dollars aad seventeen cents ($207,287.17)
required from ad valorem taxes for the general government operation
of this City; an ad valorem taxation of all taxable property
of this City is required to be levied.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, There is hereby levied
and shall be collected on each dollar of taxable property in the
City of Clermont, Florida a tax levy of Two point seven nine
three (2.793) mills, or an adjusted millage rate that will raise
an amount equal to Two hundred seven thousand, two hundred eighty
seven dollars and seventeen cents ($207,287.17) for the general
government operation of said City.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property
Appraiser of the County of Lake, is hereby directed to extend the
Assessment Roll of the City; heretofore equalized, confirmed
and approved, and to deliver same tax to the Tax Collector of
the County of Lake, and the aforesaid Tax Collector is hereby ~_.,
directed to collect said taxes at the time and in the manner
provided for the law.
