RESOLUTION NO. 101
WHEREAS, the Cl~n[nont Chapter of PEOPLE TO PEOPLE and the
GREATER CLERMONT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE jointly have invited 150 touring
men and women from Denmark to spend a week in Clermont, Florida from
August 6, 1967 to August 12, 1967; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont believes
that activities to promote better understanding among the world's peoples
should be encouraged; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Clermont feels that the
visitors from Denmark should be received and welcomed by the entire City
of Clermont,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Clermont, Florida, in regular session duly assembled, that the City of
Clermont, Florida, as a body, joins with and endorses the invitiation to
the Danish visitors by the Clermont Chapter of PEOPLE TO PEOPLE and the
GREATER CLERMONT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the week from August 6, 1967
through August 12, 1967 be proclaimed as "CI,ERMONT-DENMARK FRIENDSHIP WEEK."
PASSED at the regular meeting of the City Council of the City
