RESOLUTIONS
NO . 380-A
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT, LAKE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING AN AD VALOREM MILEAGE RATE TO
PARTIALLY FINANCE THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT OPERATION OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, a portion of the revenue for the City's 1981-82 Fiscal Year Budget
must be raised from the assessment and levy of an ad valorem tax on each dollar of
taxable property in the City of Clermont, Florida;
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined 'oy the City Council of the
City of Clermont that the assessed taxable value for 1981 for the City of Clermont, as
prepared by the Property Appraiser of the County of Lake and received on August 19,
1981, is Sixty seven million, Eight hundred seventy five thousand, Nine hundred five
dollars ($Ci7,875,905), and that a tax rate of Three point five eight three dollars
($3.583) per One thousand dollars ($1,000) valuation, is the "Roll Back" millage
rate of the City.
WHEREAS, it is hereby found and determined by the City of Clermont, that
to raise the sum of Two hundred forty three thousand two hundred five dollars and
ninety seven cents ($243,205.97) required from ad valorem taxes for the general
government operation of this City; an ad valorem taxation of all taxable property
of this City is required to be levied.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, There is hereby levied and shall be collected
on each dollar of taxable property in the City of Clermont, Florida a tax levy of
Three point five eight three (3.583) mills, or an adjusted millage rate that will
raise an amount equal to Two hundred forty three thousand, two hundred five dollars
and nirLety seven cents ($243,205.97) for the general government operation of said City.
NOW THEREFORE IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Property Appraiser of the
County of Lake, is hereby directed to extend the Assessment Roll of the City; heretofore
equalized, confirmed and approved, and to deliver same tax to the Tax Collector of the
County of Lake, and the aforesaid Tax Collector is hereby directed to collect said
taxes at the time and in the manner provided for by law.
