RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE ROAD DEPARTMETIT TO GRANT A
PERMIT TO INSTALL A FLASHING BEACON AT THE INTERSECTION OF
STATE ROAD 50 AND EAST AVENUE AND AGREEING TO PAY FOR THE
COST OF TF~E SAME OUT OF LOCAL FUNDS OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the State Road Department has advised that a flashing beacon at
the intersection of State Road 50 and East Avenue in the City of Clermont
would be feasible, NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERDIONT, FLORIDA,
iN OPEN MEETING DULY ASSEMBLED IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN THE CITY OF
CLERMONT, FLORIDA, THIS 12th DAY OF DECEMBER, A. D. 1967 AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION l: That the State T?oad Department of Florida is hereby requested
to grant a permit to install a flashing beacon at the intersection of State
Road 50 and East Avenue in the City of Clermont, Florida, and agreeing to
pay for the cost of the same out of the local funds of the City of`Clermont,
Florida.
SECTION II: That the City of Clermont agrees to install the type of
signal light recommended by the State Road Department and will pay for the
same out of local funds and will maintain such traf`ic signal in accordance
with the State Road Department Traffic signal maintenan ~ recommendations
and the signal operating plan and will pay the electrical c?zarges for
operating the signal and will not make any different changes to the signal
operation to include timing without prior State Road Department approval.
SECTION III: That a copy of this resolution be sent to the State Road
Department, DeP,and, Florida, atf.ention: H. P. Boggs, District Traffic and
Planning Engineer.
SECTION IV: That this resolution shall take effect immediately upon its
adoption.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont,
Florida held on December 12, 1967.
