Mayors Proclamation City of Clermont
Mayor's Proclamation
The General Election of the City of Clermont shall be held on the 5th day of November,
2019, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
The purpose of this election is to elect:
City Council Member Seat 2 (Two year term)
City Council Member Seat 4 (Two year term)
A primary election will be held on the 27th day of August 2019, if there are more than
two candidates who qualify for any one of the above seats.
At this election the following questions or propositions will be decided by the qualified
voters of the City of Clermont.
CHARTER AMENDMENT 1
COUNCIL TERM LIMITS
Currently, the City Charter does not limit the number of terms a person may
serve on the Council. A yes vote for this amendment would, after the
effective date of the amendment, limit a person to four consecutive two-year
terms. A no vote will reject the amendment.
CHARTER AMENDMENT 2
COUNCIL RESIDENCY REQUIREMENTS
Currently, the City Charter does not require a candidate for a seat on the
Council to be a resident of the City for any set period prior to qualifying as a
candidate. A yes vote for this amendment would provide that a candidate
shall be a qualified elector of the City for a minimum of eighteen (18)
months prior to the date of qualification as a candidate. A no vote will reject
the amendment.

Proclamacion del Alcalde
La Eleccion General de Ia Ciudad de Clermont se celebrara el 5to dia de Noviembre, 2019, entre las horas de
las 7:00 a.m. y las 7:00 p.m. Flora Estandar del Este.
El proposito de esta eleccion es elegir:
Miembro del Consejo de Ia Ciudad Posicion 2 (Periodo de 2 anos)
Miembro del Consejo de Ia Cuidad Posicion 4 (Periodo de 2 anos)
Una eleccion primaria se celebrara el dia 27 de Agosto de 2019 si existen más de dos candidatos que califican
para alguna de las antedichas posiciones.
Durante la eleccion del 5 de noviembre de 2019 las siguientes preguntas o propuestas seran decididas por los
votantes calificados de Ia Cuidad de Clermont.
ENMIENDA A LA CONSTITUCION 1
LIMITE DE PERIODOS DE SERVICIO DEL CONSEJO
Actualmente, la Constitucion de la Ciudad no limita el numero de periodos de servicio que una persona puede
servir en el Consejo. Un voto si para esta enmienda limitara, despues de la fecha de vigencia de dicha
enmienda, a una persona a un limite de cuatro periodos de servicio consecutivos de dos arms. Un voto no
rechazara dicha enmienda.
ENMIENDA A LA CONSTITUCION 2
REQUISITOS DE RESIDENCIA PARA EL CONSEJO
Actualmente, la Constitucion de Ia Ciudad no requiere que un candidato para una posicion en el Consejo sea
residente de Ia Cuidad por un periodo de tiempo especifico antes de calificar como candidato. Un voto si para
esta enmienda provee que un candidato tiene que ser un elector calificado de Ia Cuidad por un periodo
minimo de dieciocho (18) meses antes de su fecha de calificacion como candidato. Un voto no rechazara
dicha enmienda.
COMO TESTIMONIO DE LO ANTEDICHO, he puesto mi mano y he causado que el Sello de Ia Cuidad de
Clermont sea fijado este decimoprimer (11) dia de Junio de 2019.
