RESOLUTION N0. 153
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the City
Council of the City of Clermont, of Lake County, Florida, that there
are certain problems existing in regard to criminal investigation,
and
WHEREAS, no investigator from the Lake County Sheriff's
Department resides in the South Lake County area, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Council that it would
expedite the investigation of crimes and the apprehension of criminals
if the Sheriff's Department of Lake County would furnish a criminal
investigator who would reside in South Lake County, be more familiar
with the local citizenry, be more readily available and act as a
deterrent to crime.
THEREFORE, the City of Clermont hereby resolves that a copy
of this resolution be furnished to Willis V. McCall, Sheriff of
Lake County, and to the Board of County Commissioners of Lake County,
hereby requesting them to consider the appointment and/or re-location
of a criminal investigator in the South Lake County area.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of
Clermont, Lake County, Florida, held on October 14, 1969.
