RESOLUTION N0. 173
WHEREAS, The City of Clermont let bids for various aspects on
the Housing and Urban Development project WS-FLA-166 sanitary sewer
facili~t ies for the City of Clermont, and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened for the construction of the
gravity system on November 24, 1970, and the low bid was submitted by
Bumby & Stimpson, Inc., P. 0. Box 2608, Orlando, Florida 32802, in
the amount of ONE MILLION FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED
SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS and FIFTY FIVE CENTS ($1,520,175.55), and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened for the construction of the lift
stations and force mains on November 24, 1970, and the low bid was
submitted by Bumby & Stimpson, Inc., P. 0. Box 2608, Orlando, Florida
32802, in the amount of FOUR HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY
DOLLARS ($406,330.00), and
WHEREAS, said bids were opened for the construction of the
treatment and disposal facilities on November 24, 1970, and the low
bid was submitted by Chilton Construction Company, Inc., P. 0. Drawer C,
Dunedin, Florida 33528, in the amount of FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX
THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED ELEVEN DOLLARS ($526,911.00).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the bid of Bumby &Stimpson, Inc. in the amount of ONE
MILLION FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY FIVE DOLLARS
and FIFTY FIVE CENTS ($1,520,175.55) for project WS-FLA-166 on a
sanitary sewer system for the City of Clermont be accepted subject to
approval by the Housing and Urban Development authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the bid of Bumby & Stimpson, Inc., in the amount of FOUR
HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED THIRTY DOLLARS ($406,330.00) for
project WS-FLA-166 on a sanitary sewer system for the City of Clermont
be accepted subject to approval by the Housing and Urban Development
authority.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That the bid of Chilton Construction Company, Inc., in the
amount of FIVE HUNDRED TWENTY SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED ELEVEN DOLLARS
($526,911.00) for project WS-FLA-166 on a sanitary sewer system for
the City of Clermont be accepted subject to approval by the Housing
and Urban Development authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
That in the event the original funds projected for the Housing
and Urban Development project WS-FLA-166 are not sufficient to cover
the costs of these bids that the City of Clermont hereby commits
City funds to complete said project.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED the fifth day of January, 1971.:
