RESOLUTION N0. 200
WHEREAS, The Clermont, Florida Public Library, known as the Cooper
Memorial Library is applying for a Federal library construction grant in
the amount of $35,000.00 for the purpose of building an addition to
and remodeling the present library structure, and,
WHEREAS Cooper Memorial Library has building funds in cash, negotiable
securities and has acquired real estate to be used as the site of the
proposed addition and these are available to match the above Federal grant
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of Clermont, Florida
that Mr. Robert M. Hopkins, City Manager of the City of Clermont, is
authorized to sign the above application for a Federal grant and such
other documents as are required to support said application, and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Council that the availability of local
funds necessary to match Federal funds up to $35,000.00 is guaranteed.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida, held on December 12, 1972.

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY, a non - profit
corporation, has duly decided to proceed to construct a new
library facility and has likewise made the initial steps to
procure a Federal Grant to match the local effort to construct
said facility, and
WHEREAS, the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY operates under
the auspices of the CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, a municipal
corporation, and
WHEREAS, the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY is seeking and
has made application for a grant in the amount of THIRTY -FIVE
THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($35,000.00) from the Federal Gov-
ernment, and
WHEREAS, the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY has on hand at
its disposal a sum sufficient to match the $35,000.00 grant so
requested.
THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees
of the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY that:
1. The COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY does hereby guarantee
to the City Council of the CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, that the
matching monies promised by the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY to the
Federal Government in the amount of $35,000.00 is on hand and
accessible to the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY and is hereby pledged
to the CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA, to meet said matching demand
when the same should be demanded.
2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board of Trustees
of the COOPER MEMORIAL LIBRARY that a copy of this Resolution be
furnished to the City Council of the CITY OF CLERMONT, FLORIDA.
