RESOLUTION N0. 207
A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Clermont,
Lake County, Florida, requesting that the State of Florida,
Department of Transportation, conduct a Traffic Control
Study of U. S. Highway 27 from the intersection of said
U. S. Highway 27 and State Road 50, South to the inter-
section of said U. S. 27 and Hook Street all within the
City Limits of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida, did by
Ordinance duly passed in March, 1972, annex that area from the intersection
of U.S. Highway 27 and State Road 50 South to the intersection of U.S.
Highway 27 and Hook Street; and
WHEREAS, in recent years the following number of lives have
been lost and property damage sustained as a result of accidents at the
intersection of State Road 50 and U.S. Highway 27:

WHEREAS, in recent years the following number of lives have
been lost and property damage sustained as a result of accidents at the
intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Hook Street.

WHEREAS, the City of Clermont is concerned with the loss of
lives, injuries and property damage that result from accidents at these
intersections, and believes that action should be taken to prevent future

occurrences; therefore:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
LAKE COUNTY, FLORIDA, THAT:
The State of Florida, Department of Transportation, is hereby
requested to conduct a Traffic Control Study of U.S. Highway 27 from the
intersection of said U.S. Highway 27 and State Road 50, South to the inter-
section of said U.S. Highway 27 and Hook Street, including the interchange
located therein and access and egress from Hook Street onto U.S. Highway
27, all within the City Limits of the City of Clermont, Lake County, Florida.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its passage.
