RESOLUTION N0. 213
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROPRIATE CITY OFFICIALS TO MAKE APPLICATIONS
FOR FEDERAL GRANTS UNDER PUBLIC LAW 92-500
BE IT KNOWN, THAT, WHEREAS, funds are available for public improvement projects
in the City of Clermont, Florida through federal grants under Public Law 92=500; and
WHEREAS, the utilization of such funds by the City of Clermont, Florida will
permit the construction of many needed projects and extension of municipal services to
the citizens of the City of Clermont, Florida; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council that the appropriate city
officials negotiate and apply for federal grants under Public Law 92-500 to assist
in the financing of such improvement projects,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CLERMONT,
FLORIDA:
THAT MAYOR DON E. SMITH AND THE CITY MANAGER ROBERT M. HOPKINS, be and they
are hereby authorized to make applications for federal grants under Public Law 92-500
and to execute any formal applications, instruments or documents necessary to accomplish
the grant of federal funds to finance the cost of projects eligible for such grants
within the City of Clermont, Florida.
PASSED AND CERTIFIED AS TO PASSAGE this 8th day of May, A. D. 1973.
